Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday prolonged the bi-weekly partial lockdown until August 31 across the condition in a bid to suppress the distribute of coronavirus that is touching 67,000-mark in West Bengal. She claimed there would be no lockdown in the condition on August 1st on the situation of Bakrid.
“We have made the decision to increase the partial lockdown in the condition until August 31. Before, it was in power till July 31. Corona is now at its peak in Bengal. If the circumstance increases we will take the up coming connect with appropriately,” she said, incorporating that there will be lockdown in containment zones only on August 1 and full lockdown on Sunday.
Banerjee stated that there would also be no lockdown on August 3 since of Raksha Bandhan.
Future bi-weekly lockdown will be enforced on August 8-9 (Saturday and Sunday). Bi-weekly complete lockdown in West Bengal will be on August 2, 5, 8, 9, 16, 17, 22, 23, 29, 30.
Banerjee stated that all the federal government and non-public workplaces, commercial institutions, public and personal transport would keep on being closed during the lockdown. The next lockdown is scheduled on July 29 (Wednesday).
Only the critical expert services will be practical. Petrol pumps are authorized to open up. The performing of courts, work in agricultural fields and tea gardens, intra-condition and inter-state merchandise actions and household shipping and delivery of cooked foodstuff will be permitted in the course of the prolonged partial lockdown.
“We have tentative options to open universities on alternate times from September 5 but that can only be achievable if the situation improves,” Banerjee explained.
